Mattel is showing off the battle damaged He-Man variant, that allows players to change the chest plate to reflect any damage the protector of Eternia may suffer.
This toy does not feature a spinning tumble, but does include all three chest plates – standard, one smash, and my personal favorite, two smashes!
He also comes with his heroic Battle Axe just like in the famous painting of Battle Armor He-Man on top of Battle Cat. (anyone have the art book?)
Battle Armor He-Man goes on sale January 15, only at the MattCollector.com website.

I had the original Battle Damage He-Man figure from the 80’s and it was way cooler than this, with the tumbler plate that automatically…er…tumbled to the damaged sides when hit. Much cooler.

That’s really cool that they’re re-releasing the figure, but really weak that they couldn’t be troubled to put the tumbler into it. Part of the fun was that it was pressure sensitive, plus it made fall damage possible since if it was bounced too hard it tumbled.
