The Wolverine has arrived in theaters!
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine, the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world he faces his ultimate nemesis in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality, emerging more powerful than we have ever seen him before.

I enjoyed the adventures of Wolver T. Claw quite a bit. It had some awesome action scenes (of course) and spent a little more time on character development then a lot of the X movies. Also the CGI was greatly improved over the last movie, no more cartoonish looking claws. In the pantheon of X movies it ranks third for me behind X2 and X-Men.
I liked the movie. I didn’t like what they did with his claws though. I just seemed like a gimmick
It was okay. Fairly decent for what they had to work with. I think part of the problem is that while wolverine is a fun character (and Jackman clearlt loves playing him), he’s not particularly interesting. He works best as a fun auxillary character. Which they seem to finally get. Make sure to stick around for the credits.
I really liked Wolverine, and I think there are three main reasons why. Firstly there were enough connections to the Clarmont/Miller story for it to be recognizable, but still seperated enough that it reminded you this was a different Marvel Universe that the comic, It wasn’t a rehashing, but a referenced story that drew from the source. I also likes that they gave depth to Logan, It wasn’t just about the, “I kill people, it’s what I do, and it isn’t very nice” but they actually touched on his humanity, and his regrets, and more so his remorse, just how long a super healing mutant is gonna be feeling like that, what that really means to the character. The final significant like I had to the movie was that it actually made me rethink how much I disliked “the Last Stand” I thought 3 was, by leaps and bounds the worst of the series, and was set up to be disappointed when I learned that this was not a sequal to “Origins” but to 3. This made me rething the events of the Third, much in the same way you would rething Snape after tha last Harry Potter Book. Sure it seemed rotten to the core, but maybe there was a glimmer of hope in there after all.
Didn’t see it, cause X movies seem to blow chunks. Lets see how Gaurdians turns out.
