We all know that the Man of Steel will be playing in theaters this coming summer, but it looks like he could be entering your house sooner than that. DC has released the first trailer for the coming animated movie Superman: Unbound, which you can watch right after the jump.
Superman: Unbound is an adaptation of the 2008 Geoff Johns and Gary Franks storyline Braniac from Action Comics. DC hasn’t announced the official release date yet, but if they go for the same approach they did with Green Lantern and Emerald Knights look for Unbound to hit shelves just before Man of Steel hits theaters.

So, has that become some sort of mandatory thing: “Welcome to Earth!” PUNCH!
Yes. PUNCH!
Hello, visitor, and good tidings as we welcome you to this small planet that we locals like to refer to as Earth. We wish you the best of times and hope that you enjoy your stay!

I know why they’re only doing Superman and Batman movies, but is there a reason why they stopped with the shorts? Those were great!
Because the shorts were focusing on characters that were not Superman or Batman or characters in their “families”.
Wait, they gave up on producing those DC Showcase things?? The Catwoman and Green Arrow ones were great!!
