Very good. I liked the ’60s type cartoon thrown in.
The more I see of the Watchmen, the cooler it looks. I hear a lot of scoffing and negativety (Major Spoilers excluded) from the geek crowd how this movie is going to suck. Is that how geeks try to maintain there “nerd cred” by bashing something before it even comes out? I mean, we know Allan Moore is angry and doesn’t like anything. But, he’s the only one whose negativity counts because it’s his story. I am excited about the release. If it sucks. Oh well! Least I have something to look forward to.
Even though they have removed the giant squidapathic monstrosity, I’m okay with that (mostly because upon 1st reading I didn’t “get” it, but I have moments of dumb like that). I’m ultra-stoked for this film. Meanwhile, any other “text to screen” adaptation that messes with the source material I will heartily #$*% on. THAT’s how amazing this movie is, in my mind. I can forgive the script changes simply because everything else about it makes me fanboy-drool. From the costumes to the casting, WIN. (OyveySilkSpectre#2….) If that dents my nerd-cred, meh. My cred is bad on all sorts of fronts, why not this one too?
