Many times, as one of the Old Dudes Emeritus here at Major Spoilers, I vaguely wonder how many of my references are even landing with the youthful Spoilerites. Today, though, I’m fully confident that even the oldest among us are too young for today’s Laurel and Hardy references, and yet we’re likely all aware of ’em, making for a delightful paradox. Stan and Ollie’s shorts from the 1920s are truly inspired stuff, with the really neat twist that neither was the traditional funny one or straight man. Either could effortlessly create the funny or react to it in hysterical ways, leading to today’s fine mess of a query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would like to thank Spoilerite Daniel Langsdale for inspiring today’s ‘Sophie’s Choice’ style query, and I will go with Babe Hardy, simply because seeing a big man who could do that level of physical comedy and slapstick, asking: Laurel or Hardy?

Laurel. Hardy was too mean to his friend for me to side with him. (I wouldn’t pick Moe out of the Stooges, either.)
True.
Hard not to see them as one unit. One without the other just wouldn’t work. I guess that is one of the reasons they have stayed around for so long.
I think I relate more to Hardy……….
As do I…
