It has now been 80 years since Dick Grayson first burst onto the scene. In that time, there have been something like twelve Robins (more if you count alternate realities and future vision), each with their own version of the red, green and gold uniform. With recent varaints on the Robin suit (like Tim’s horrible winged Red Robin suit, Damian’s ninja variant and the various We Are Robin characters) I’ve been assessing and arguing about which works the best and who is at the bottom of the Robin Ranking, which leads us to today’s bare-legged-and-you’d-better-learn-to-deal-with-it query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) is torn between Tim Drake’s original ninja-style costume and Dick Grayson’s seldom-used wing-cape costume as seen once or twice in JLA, asking: Which costume comes first in your personal Robin Ranking?

it’s hard not to say Tim Drake’s original 90’s ninja long pants/boots suit (and by that rationale, Dick Grayson’s BTAS suit), for nothing else but actually being practical enough to y’know…..protect your damn legs.
though if the definition of “Robins” extends to any Bat-family sidekick, Cassandra Cain’s covered-mouth cowl looks pretty badass, and the red/black palettes of Batwoman and Terry McGinnis’s suits are pretty awesome and striking.
Damians costume with hooded cloack, tunic and shin guards is the best costume. Unfortunately its not on the best Robin.
