We’ve all heard the lament a thousand times: “There are no new ideas anymore, everything is a reboot of an old property!” It’s not a false statement by any means, but it’s also one that doesn’t really speak to the quality of the relaunches/reboots/revamps. Case in point: The first issue of the new Buffy The Vampire Slayer, which is not only really good but faithful to the existing Buffy body of work, even if it seems like it’s too soon to reboot Buffy. If you absolutely HAD to reboot the recent things in pop culture, though, there are a lot of options, leading to today’s GRR! ARRRGH! query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) wouldn’t mind seeing a new take on ‘Desperate Housewives’, asking: If you HAD to reboot the recent, which “too soon” revamp would you want green-lighted next?

I was thinking DCU movie universe. But then I remembered that the Universal Monster Universe needs waaaay more help.
Can we reboot the Star Trek reboots? Those movies had such potential, but they have missed the mark as far as character development. They are great if you just want an action movie, but Trekkie universe is far more than just the action. They did okay in the first one, but by the 3rd, they’d lost it.
