This weekend, I watched ‘Carrie’ with the kid, did a little bit of cleaning and went to the grocery store, where I was plied with free samples of cheese, some weird pita chips and, weirdly, marshmallow salad. All I really wanted was a pie pumpkin, but that was quickly overridden by trying all the new things on display, making me wonder why more establishments don’t give away freebies. Like the tire store or the diamond exchange or maybe the cool fajita place by the mall, which leads us to today’s five-finger-discounted query…
