Music is, to coin a phrase that is also wrong, in the eye of the beholder. That said, there are a lot of people who are ready to judge you for loving the likes of Nickelback, Coldplay or The Insane Clown Posse. That’s really sort of a shame, as even the worst music in the world (it’s actually a tie between that one Kid Rock song that rhymes “things” with “things” and defiles ‘Werewolves of London’ and ‘Royals’) has something to offer and might soothe a particular savage breast in the right setting. No matter what combo is your favorite band, two things are clear: Journey is universally awesome and all the Teen Nickelodeon stars tried their hand at an album, leading to today’s ensemble query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) used to worry when I explained that The Monkees are awesome and my number one, but now I’m old and contrarian, asking: No judgement: What’s your favorite band?

A tie between The Monkees and Korn. What can I say, I like what I like, and that covers a fairly broad range of music. The only thing I’m not crazy about is most modern rap and country, and even those have exceptions. But those are the two bands I seem to listen to the most and are the bands I would most like to see live performances of again.
Steely Dan.
Coincidentally, it’s also the name of my favorite…
Def Leppard. I feel no shame.
Iron Maiden great music with great stories in the lyrics.
