    Ten Reimagined Supers

Matthew PetersonBy Matthew PetersonJune 27, 2018Updated:July 5, 20206 Mins Read

    1) CATWOMAN

    Catwoman Eartha Kitt

DC has never given the world of ‘Batman ‘66’ a numbered-Earth designation, and I believe there’s a simple reason for that: It’s actually *more than one* world. How else can we explain Catwoman shrinking by nearly three inches in height (and several through her hips) during her outing in the Batman film? Or the fact that the third season featured Eartha Kitt as an African-American version of Selina Kyle’s alter-ego? This third Catwoman has a lot going for her, including a very catlike purring when she spoke and not being *a full foot taller* than Batgirl when they fought. It’s kind of a shame that the sexual tension between her and Batman sudden vanished with Earth in the role.

This week’s Ten Reimagined Supers topic is all me, but feel free to suggest your own and follow along @MightyKingCobra for more Ten Things madness on Twitter. (Or check out the full Twitter archive here!) As with any set of like items, these aren’t meant to be hard and fast or absolutely complete, if only because I got revamped halfway through today’s list.

Either way, the comments section is Below for just such an emergency, but, as always: Please, no wagering!

Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Matthew enjoys body surfing (so long as the bodies are fresh), writing in the third person, and dark-eyed women. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: Fear! Surprise! Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.
