    Major Spoilers Question of the Day: Ruined Forever Edition

    The fact that the Marvel Cinematic Universe currently includes Howard The Duck and holds the possibility, however remote, that we may see Howard in his own film makes me very happy.  The fact that it might lead people to experience the excellent Howard stories is prize enough, but the fact that the Duck bounced back from being “ruined forever” in just a couple of decades is even better.  With the increasing speed of today’s pop culture, it means that Iron Fist could be up and running by the time my kid is out of high school, that the JSA could be a thing again in a year and even Superman could bounce back from ‘Man Of Steel’, leading us to today’s tainted query…

    The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) is really mad about people dunking on Iron Fist for a crappy TV series after 45 years of being pretty awesome, asking: Which property or character that was “ruined forever” do you most want to see bounce back?

    Once upon a time, there was a young nerd from the Midwest, who loved Matter-Eater Lad and the McKenzie Brothers... If pop culture were a maze, Matthew would be the Minotaur at its center. Were it a mall, he'd be the Food Court. Were it a parking lot, he’d be the distant Cart Corral where the weird kids gather to smoke, but that’s not important right now... Ruthless efficiency! An almost fanatical devotion to pop culture! And a nice red uniform.

      I’d like Fantastic Four be popular or at least matter again. They haven’t been in anything noteworthy in years, apart from pretty bad movies.

      Moon Knight. he’s been ruined. When he first appeared in Werewolf by Night, and his early back ups in HULK magazine…he was great. he was even terrific when he had his first 38 issue run. Now….he’s crap. So, yeah…MOON KNIGHT.

      I hate every Daniel Craig movie. Skyfall was so bad couldn’t bring myself to even watch Spectre.
