I’ll admit it: I’d totally go see a Doors cover band where the lead singer was Daffy Duck. This, by the way, is one of the conversations that my 14-year-old and I have on the drive home from work/school during the week, and you should be jealous that you don’t get to play along. The question of which animated friend would make the best fictional frontman is a difficult one: Porky Pig would be limited, but fun, whereas Goofy would be great in a kind of Iggy Pop role. Perhaps the best of all, though, would be Dangermouse covering Dangermaus, leading us to today’s Duck Amuck Query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) thinks that Bugs Bunny would actually be a bass player in the vein of Flea or Paul McCartney, or ideally both, asking: Which cartoon character would make the best fictional frontman for a hypothetical band?

Is Megatron fronting Metallica too on-the-nose?
Louie the Lightning Bug fronting AC/DC?
Sherlock Holmes and No Doubt?
James T Kirk and Starship?
Hal Jordan and Green Day?
Ash Williams and The Grateful Dead?
The Pink Panther and Pink Floyd?
Dr Manhattan and The Moody Blues?
…I’ll stop.
Yeah…. I just looked again, and halfway through that, I forgot the “cartoon” part.
…Though I suppose most of them have *been* cartoon characters at one point or another.
Natasha (with Boris on tamborine)
I am thinking a style like Marianne Faithfull. Or Nico.
I wanted to make a Transformers band comment, but I don’t think I can top the “Knights of Unicron” TF band, which is an actual thing.

So I’m going with Porky Pig singing Kid Rock covers. Couldn’t be any worse than William Hung’s musical career.
Elmer Fudd and the Enunciators.
Speedy Gonzalez has potential for lead guitar in a Dragon Force cover band. And something brilliant’s bound to happen if you put all of the Herculoids in Kiss outfits.
NICE!
(Okay, my nice was for Elmer Fudd, but it went too far down, lol. That Elmer Fudd one made me chuckle)
