8) IT, THE LIVING COLOSSUS
Special-effects wizard Bob O’Bryan was the mind behind Delzney Studios’ SFX department when a strange Russian statue arrived in L.A. for exhibit. An alien creature attempted to animate the giant stone man, only for Bob to rig it and blow the alien up. When more aliens arrived, though, Bob discovered that he could project his own mind into the Colossus’ massive granite corpus, using it as the ultimate special effect and also rebuffing an attempt at Earth conquest by Granitor, ruler of planet Stonus V.
It’s all in how you place the squibs, man…

Wasn’t Crossfire from DNAgents land (Eclipse Comics) a Hollywood guy? Also the Fly from Marvel — a stuntman? Not sure about that one.
Crossfire was a bail bondsman in L.A., so tangentially Hollywood…
“Human Fly”, sorry.

Thanks for the lists! Always fun
The Human Fly was a fave-rave of mine, based loosely on a real-life stuntman, so his absence here is entirely one of “only ten spaces.” :)
I would have included Animal Man and Blue Devil on the list. Both of them are stunt/special effects guys.
Ooh, Blue Devil is an excellent call!
