1) SAMARITAN
Born in the 35th Century, the man who would become Samaritan was sent back to fix one event that led to his world being ravaged by environmental disaster. Having stopped that event (the explosion of the Space Shuttle Challenger) thanks to the super-powers he received in the transport, he created his superhuman identity to continue helping wherever he can, as well as his alter ego of Asa Martin, mild-mannered fact-checker. Samaritan once made it back to the 35th Century, only to find that his world had survived, but his actions had somehow wiped his entire family from existence, leaving him in the modern-day, a living example of the bootstrap paradox…
Wait, is that the one I mean? I don’t know, my brain traveled back in time fourteen minutes to vex me…
