With the news that Brian Michael Bendis is now exclusive to DC Comics, speculation has run wild on what his first project might be. Would he rock a big name book like Batman or Wonder Woman? Would relaunch a beloved niche book like Legion or Outsiders? Would he create a new concept, as he did with Jessica Jones? Whichever it is, his success reworking the Marvel landscape makes it exciting to imagine what’ll happen in the DCU, leading to today’s contractual query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) reminds Faithful Spoilerites that “Nothin” is never a valid MS-QOTD response, asking: What DC title or character would you hope to see Brian Bendis tackle first?

Something absurd, like Justice League Antarctica, taking a bunch of Z-list heroes and villains and building something really interesting (and possibly a bit comical). There are a ton of characters in the vast DC library that have the potential to be interesting, but never get a fair shake when everything is focused on Batman or Superman, or another Hawkman reboot or something.
I’d like a high profile writer attention for a new ongoing JSA or Legion of Super Heroes book and this is the perfect opportunity. I’d like younger JSA focused book with original characters more in mentor role, but frequently taking part of the action too. With Legion, I’d be happy it just existing, but preferably more aliens and b-tier characters, like Blok or Comet Queen instead of same old Cosmic Boy and Saturn Girl.
I would love to see him do LSH, probably with a couple of prominent original characters. Though I agree Titans could use the help.
Elongated Man, grounded crime drama with a fantastical twist is what he does best
