6) NOVA
Richard Rider was given the power of a Nova Corps centurion when a dying alien crashed on Earth and decided that Green Lantern’s origin was pretty cool and another hero totally needed it. After several years, Richard’s Nova status and powers were revoked by his alien overlords, but unbeknownst to Rich, they weren’t gone, just dormant. When Night Thrasher set off to create The New Warriors, he threw Rich off a building, gambling that his powers would reactivate.
Thankfully, he was correct.
