This was difficult to listen through and I almost stopped. How shall I put this? OK… Listening to someone complain and “hrumf” with arms folded defensively for over 30 minutes isn’t enjoyable. Rob and Brian didn’t like the game, but still played and approached it in a way that generated some enthusiasm to share with the audience. Then *at the end*, they gave coherent, specific reasons for why they didn’t like the mechanics. They didn’t compare it to a DVD of Snakes on a Train (sic?). I don’t even know what all that means.
I think the goal of this show is to educate and entertain. It’s not to give any one participant a great night out for gaming. I wouldn’t share this episode with a friend because I wouldn’t want to inject negativity into their life.
It’s a great show, but if not everyone wants to do this, I am sure there are others who will. Amanda is local and likes gaming, right? A female voice would be good to hear on this show! If I had my druthers, Sam would move to Kansas and join in! She’s brings enthusiasm and a positive mindset that is infectious. Even joyous at times! I just don’t want to be bummed out while listening, like this time.
All that said, I really appreciate the efforts that the team makes to put out interesting content. Thank you.
