We’ve talked about Spencer & Locke multiple times on the Major Spoilers site, and now the indie comic has been optioned for film by Hitman producer Adrian Askarieh and Prime Universe Films.
The comic — which takes the classic idea of a childhood imaginary pet friend (smartly rendered by Bill Watterson with his acclaimed Hobbes comic strip that ran in the 1980s and 1990s) and puts it through a Frank Miller-like lens — hails from publisher Action Lab, with the first issue released in April.
If you are attending the San Diego Comic-Con next week, series writer David Pepose will be signing copies of the four-issue mini-series at the Action Lab booth (#2006).
