    Major Spoilers Question of the Day: Lasso Or Sword Edition

    The New 52 changes to the character of Wonder Woman are a mixed bag: The color scheme is actually more cohesive; the Superman romance felt tacked on; her new Pantheon was effectively alien and creepy.  And then there’s that damn sword.  Superheroes and swords are always a tough sell, as they usually can’t just go gleefully hacking into enemies willy-nilly, a problem that has sidelined Valkyrie, Black Knight and more.  Add in Wonder Woman already having a signature weapon, forcing her to choose lasso or sword, and it’s all complicated, leading to today’s dual-wielding query…

    The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) is also bugged by artists not agreeing on the size or style of sword, but realizes that’s a different unwinnable battle, asking: In your mind, is Wonder Woman more appropriately armed with lasso or sword?

      Super heroes with stabby things are usually problematic, that’s why I’ll got with the lasso.

      Lasso, easily.

      I don’t mind Diana busting out a sword (or axe) if serious, world-ending s**t is going down, but I hate seeing it as one of her default weapons.
