3) WHAT IF SPIDER-MAN HAD A DAUGHTER?
Probably the most successful of all, What If V2 #105 not only spawned a sequel, but a whole sub-line of Marvel Comics, MC2. MC2 gave us the stories of a near-future where the Marvel superheroes had mostly aged out of their roles, with new young heroes rising to take their place. Chief among them was Mayday Parker, daughter of Peter and Mary Jane Parker, who discovered that her father’s arachnid abilities were passed down to her, along with her “uncle’s” uniform, making for memorable and very-hard-to-finally-cancel comic tales.
