1) WHAT IF JANE FOSTER FOUND THE HAMMER OF THOR?

For all the hue and cry about Jane Foster picking up the hammer of Thor in recent years, What If? V1 #10 did it first.  It’s a reminder that, for all the whining about comics being “ruined forever”, there truly are no new ideas, and it has a few good points to make about the nature of heroes as well.  When Jane sacrificed herself for the greater good, the hammer went to Donald Blake but All-Father Odin resurrected her as a god, making Jane Foster his wife and queen of Asgard.  Beats the heck out of that Avengers membership the mainstream Jane got…
