People my age remember the days when everyone on television had a cool car: The General Lee, Knight Rider, The A-Team Van. Heck, even the daughter from ‘Bewitched’ had a 70s spinoff where she drove a spiffy little Volkswagen Beetle cabriolet, and no, I’m not at all ashamed to remember that. These days, that sort of detail (and, honestly, most outdoor shooting) has gone by the wayside, but that doesn’t mean we still don’t fondly remember those coolest super-car moment of our youth, featuring the likes of Starsky’s red Ford fastback or that awesome Turtle van, leading us to today’s vehicular query…
The MS-QOTD (pronounced, as always, “misquoted”) would like to limit the definition of car as “vehicle with three wheels or more that travels primary on the ground,” asking: What’s the coolest super-car (that’s not a Batmobile?)

K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, its a snarky computer super car that jumps. Crockett’s white Ferrari from Miami Vice is close second.
Obviously it’s SuperCar. Everyone remembers the early Gerry Anderson show Super Car, right?
No?
Just me then… I’ll see myself out
It travels on land!
Or over the sea!
Watch it flying through the AAAAIRRRR!
Coolest – Mad Max’s V8 Interceptor. Butch ride.
Best – Doc Brown’s Delorean. Time Travel and Flight are a winning combination.
Animated – Speed Racer’s Mach 5
The Rustbucket from the early entries of the Ben 10 franchise.
Or The Doctor’s old car Bessie (not to be confused with the Whomobile, which was more like a weird hovercraft and not quite as cool as the old Edwardian roadster).
Captain Scarlet’s Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle (SPV). You drive it facing backwards!
The Phooeymobile!
007’s Aston Martin DB5, as seen beginning from Goldfinger.
Followed closely by Lady Penelope’s FAB 1.
