Jon Favreau doesn’t get the credit he deserves for bringing the Marvel Cinematic Universe to life. Not only did the actor/director give us Iron Man, he also brought us Happy Hogan. Though the character appeared in three Iron Man films, Hogan seemed to get shorted when it came to the bigger flicks. Thankfully, Spider-Man: Homecoming is going to fix that.
According to Variety (and updated on IMDB), the actor will reprise his role once more as Happy Hogan, Tony Stark’s chauffeur and personal assistant. Beyond the potential appearance of dropping Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey, Jr.) at Peter Parker’s apartment, there is no word on how big a role Favreau will have in the movie.
With the third phase of the Marvel MCU about to arrive, having Jon Favreau on board as the lucky rabbit’s foot seems like a smart choice. Plus, when it comes ensuring the shared world continues to be shared among all films, the little touches make everything seem more believable.
Favreau had not comment on Twitter, but with the focus on the Jungle Book release on DVD and Blu-ray, his attention is elsewhere at the moment.
Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently shooting in Atlanta, Georgia.

Didn’t he die in Iron Man 3? I seem to remember he was caught in an explosion.
