Work on the Blade Runner sequel must be going well, as Alcon Entertainment has moved the movie from January 2018 to October 2017.
With Ryan Gosling, Robin Wright and Harrison Ford starring, the star power is strong, and with pre-production well underway, it sounds like everyone is confident enough the film can be complete by the October 6, 2017 release date.
The sequel, set several decades after the original, is written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and succeeds the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples based on Philip K. Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.” Story details are not being revealed.
I don’t really know if we need a Blade Runner sequel, but as long as it isn’t as horrid as the Total Recall reboot, we’ll be okay.
