More movie release news from the same studio bringing Gambit in 2016. Michael Fassbender, a Fantastic Four sequel, and the follow up to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes all in 2016!
The Assassin’s Creed brand is looking for something to brighten its days after the fiasco that has been the launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity. If you don’t know what I’m reffering to, just look at this image of a character missing their face and then extrapolate that to the whole game in all areas.
Releasing December 21st, 2016, Michael Fassbender will be playing the lead character in the film, but which character that will be and what time period the film will be taking place in still hasn’t been announced.
Assassin’s Creed just received a rewrite curtesy of Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, who most recently wrote Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings. The film is also set to have Just Kurzel direct.
The game series does give the team plenty of periods to choose from, but is there a certain time period that would fit the casting of Michael Fassbender? Or, simply a period you would like to see up on screen?
Along with the Assassin’s Creed news, 20th Century Fox announced a release date (June 2nd, 2017) for a Fantastic Four sequel. Yes, that Fantastic Four. As in the movie that is set to release in just a few months but we have yet to see any official images of the movie. Either the studio is incredibly confident in the film or they are making sure, once again, the rights don’t revert back to Marvel.
A sequel for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes from director Matt Reeves has a release date set for July 14th, 2017. Dawn was one of my favorite movies of 2014 and my favorite of the Apes movies that have been made. (Full discourse: I’ve only seen 3 of them. Shocker.)
