A recent interview with Clive Russel suggests that there will be a more direct connection between Thor: The Dark World and Guardians of the Galaxy with both of them being set in the Marvel Movie-verse. Clive Russel is playing the god Tyr in The Dark World. The video of the interview is after the jump, after which we will explain the importance.

It happens at 2:15 into the video, Clive mentions “I worked with Benicio Del Toro on a scene in which he was meant to be quite angry. Sitting fifteen feet away I couldn’t hear a word he was saying.” Del Toro has recently signed a multiple movie deal with Marvel and the most prominent film he has been attached to is Guardians of the Galaxy. Now it appears as though we have the first film he’ll be in as well.
