    TOYS: View Askew Minimates announced

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherJune 18, 20131 Comment1 Min Read

It’s the toy collection you didn’t know you wanted, but now you absolutely must own!

Diamond Select Toys has announced a number of new Minimates based on the Kevin Smith View Askewniverse. Yes, that’s right Spoilerites, you can finally own your very own Jay and Silent Bob Minimates.

The first exclusive two-pack includes Jay and Silent Bob in black-and-white, just as they appeared in Smith’s groundbreaking debut film, Clerks. Future sets will be in black and white as well as full-color, and will be based on all of the View Askew universe films: Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks 2 and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back! Each Minimate mini-figure stands approximately 2 inches tall, with interchangeable parts and accessories.

This two-pack is a SDCC exclusive, so make sure you run (don’t walk) to the Diamond Select Toys booth at San Diego (#2607) with your $10.00 in hand and pick up a set for your good friend Stephen at Major Spoilers.

Wish I knew someone who was going so I could send the cash along with them rather than buying for 2 or 3 or so more times the cost on the secondary market. Much as I’d love the figures myself, I’ve got a friend who is a HUGE Jay and Silent Bob fanatic that these would be the best birthday gift for.
