If you are looking for a true Hobbit experience, you can always head to Hobbiton, the still standing sets and location of the Shire used in making The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films, has just opened the Green Dragon Pub, a place where you can get a drink while pretending you have giant furry feet.
Officially opened by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key late last month, the hobbit pub is located in Hobbiton, near Matamata, New Zealand–the same location where the movies were filmed. Constructed by a 80-person crew, The Green Dragon is carefully decorated with accurate details to offer visitors a “true hobbit experience”.
