The Amazing Spider-Man does look to have a lot of wall-crawling and web-slinging action in it, but the new trailer seems to indicate a lot of Peter Parker character development is going to happen as well.

I wonder if we’re ever going to get a superhero movie where the female love interest doesn’t find out about the hero’s secret identity so soon?
I would like to see a graph for Super-hero movies showing the relationship between “% of face covered by the mask” and “# of times hero takes of the mask”
I still have a bad taste in my mouth about how quickly they scrapped the old franchise and rushed this one so they wouldn’t lose the rights. I was REALLY hoping the rights would revert back to Marvel so they could make a Marvel Studios Universe Spider-Man. This seems to emo to me, like it’s trying to be hip-teenage Batman. And the whole thing with his parents…. GAH. Amazing Spider-Man 2: Attack of the Clones! Lets just pick all the worst storylines.
I’m just bitter. The fact that Sony is making this instead of Marvel just feels like someone else is playing with my favorite toy after they already broke my old one.
It’ll probably be fine. But if it’s not, I reserve the right to gloat and rant to no end.
I’m looking forward to this. I for one like the choice of Andrew Garfield playing Peter Parker.
