We’ve seen Batman and Robin of Earth-2, and in the variant cover, we’ve seen Wonder Woman and Superman kicking the crap out of a horde of Parademons. Today, DC shows off Jim Lee’s design for the last of the Amazons.
“Due the events that open the saga of EARTH 2, Wonder Woman is already the last Amazon of this world and she is determined to avenge her sisters…at whatever cost,” said EARTH 2 writer James Robinson.
“How did Wonder Woman come to be the last of the Amazons?” asks EARTH 2 editor Pat McCallum. “It’s one of the mysteries we’ll be getting into with the series. While there will be recognizable faces and settings on EARTH 2, don’t for a moment think you’re on familiar ground. Do that, and you let your guard down…and then you’ll end up like the rest of the Amazons.”
For those that were against Wonder Woman wearing pants, this design does address those concerns.
Earth-2 and World’s Finest arrive in May as part of DC’s “Second Wave” of the New 52. It’s interesting that DC is putting Second Wave in quotes, considering we had DC’s First Wave, and we never got to see what the company had planned with Rima the Jungle Girl and a few other pulpy characters teased in artwork. Any connection? Probably not, but it is fun to speculate and ponder when we’re all jazzed on energy drinks and Twinkies.

I have always preferred the battle skirt concept. This also makes a live action costume more practical.
Bring on the next knee pad comment but I’m liking it.
…protects her from arrows?
It’s Donna Troy (just a guess)
