Steven Spielberg’s take on Herge’s Tintin has arrived in the United States, and is on track to at least make it into the top five for the weekend (hopefully beating out Alvin & the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked).
Tintin and Captain Haddock set off on a treasure hunt for a sunken ship commanded by Haddock’s ancestor. But someone else is in search of the ship.

I actually saw this a while back, it came out last month in Ireland. This is a good movie, and I was never a fan of the books or the comics. Lots of family fun, with some brilliant visuals. Much like Raiders, once this film gets started it rarely lets up, with some spectacular action scenes. Boat fight…Gunpowder and crane sword fights…Scroll chase. I strongly recommend Tintin. It is a joy.
