Written by HOLLY BLACK, BILL WILLINGHAM, ALISA KWITNEY, LOUISE HAWES and T.D. MITCHELL
Conceived and illustrated by REBECCA GUAY
ANGELS: Guardians. Messengers. Warriors. Fallen.

Conceived and stunningly illustrated by fantasy art legend Rebecca Guay (Magic: The Gathering, Veils), A FLIGHT OF ANGELS is written by an all-star line-up of today’s top fantasy talent, including Bill Willingham (FABLES) and Holly Black (The Spiderwick Chronicles) in tales that will grip your heart and make your imagination soar.

MARZI TP
Written by MARZENA SOWA
Art and cover by SYLVAIN SAVOIA
“I am Marzi, born in 1979, ten years before the end of communism in Poland.
My father works at a factory, my mother at a dairy.
Social problems are at their height.
Empty stores are our daily bread.
I’m scared of spiders, and the world of adults
doesn’t seem like a walk in the park.”
Told from a young girl’s perspective, Marzena Sowa’s memoir of a childhood shaped by politics feels remarkably fresh and immediate. Structured as a series of vignettes that build on one another, MARZI is a compelling and powerful coming-of-age story that portrays the harsh realities of life behind the Iron Curtain while maintaining the everyday wonders and curiosity of childhood.
With open and engaging art by Sylvain Savoia, MARZI is a moving and resonant story of an ordinary girl in turbulent, changing times.

Someone’s missing from the JIL cover. In the first release of the pic, a woman in black is at the bottom right, where the big gaping piece of negative space is now.
Wonder what happened? Who’s been retconned out of the reboot already?
Curious why the New Guardians is blocked out as well, when we already know this is Kyle Rayner. I originally thought this would have characters like Larfleeze and Star Sapphire rounding out the cast, but maybe that’s not the case anymore . . .
I’m glad they’re rounding out the New Guardians with different characters. It makes sense that they wouldn’t use the same people because Hal isn’t leading the team. Why would his new buddies be New Guardians without him?
The JLI cover is weird though. We still weren’t ever told who she was, although we were told when we guessed wrong (poor, poor Donna Troy). I’m wondering if they’re just changing up the costume of if they’re bringing back Donna.
The missing woman from the JLI cover I thought may be the Greek woman with super powers who was introduced in the latest issue of Booster Gold. International character, introduced during Flashpoint from the same writer of the upcoming series. Just a thought…
Exactly what I was thinking re: the Mystery Woman. Great minds and all that!
So hyped for Sept!
actually, she kinda looks like Katy Perry…
this is looking more and more like a RECYCLE rather than a REBOOT. i wish DC was a bit more bold with this reboot
So Mr. Terrific is single or a widower? Which one is it or is all that Justice Society history just never there now? Where is Wally West? Where is Changling? Where is Raven?
Teen Titans cover art, when did DC become 1990’s Wildstorm? Did I miss a memo or something?
It screams at the top of it’s lungs: “Look at me, I’m edgy and dark! Dark I say!! DARKKKKKK!!!”, I mean really, barbwire lasso? Bar code Superman tattoo!? The story might be good but the cover art hurts my eyes…
P.S. As bad as Kid Flash’s needlessly complex/shiny costume and not-witchblade/witchblade spider girl costumes are Red Robin is fine, looks a bit like the one he had in the Unternet.
I can’t decide how I feel about the Red Robin redesign. It looks too much like Black Condor… but I am glad they haven’t got rid of Tim Drake. I wonder if the redesign is to bring him closer to Nightwing, somehow…
Is Batman Beyond cancelled? Was hoping it was enough outside DCU that it wasn’t be renumbered.
What about the Booster Gold series?
I’m looking forward to new approaches, but I’m still mourning my beloved JSA. DAMN YOU, DIDO! DAMMMNNNN YOOOOOUUUU!!!!! KAAAAHHHHHAAANNNNNNN! Sorry…got a little carried away there.
Come gather ’round nerds
Wherever you roam
And see that Jim Lee
And Dan Didio
Have taken DC
and stripped it to the bone
If continuity to you
Is worth savin’
Then you better start buyin’
Or you’ll no longer know
For the times they are a-changin’.
Come writers and artists
Who panelize with your pen
Keep continuity clean
The chance won’t come again
Let Clark be a boy scout
And Bruce’s still be grim
And we won’t need to think who
We’ll be blamin’
For the hero now
May become a villain
For the times they are a-changin’.
Come new and old readers
Re-fill your pull list
Don’t jump ship to Marvel
We know you are pissed
But we’ve still got 11
Bat-Titles on this list
Plus WildStorm is back
If you care
And a buttload of titles
You just cannot miss
For the times they are a-changin’.
Come old guys and nerd-ragers
We’re begging you please
And don’t be so down on
Day and date release
Your sons and your daughters
Use their iPads with ease
The old way
is disappearing
It’s gone the way
Of the cartilage in your knees
For the times they are a-changin’.
The books are all drawn
The teams are all cast
The slow one now
Won’t get that first issue of Flash
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin’
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin’.
wow. I will do bad things for that Mignola statuette
