The Cape
”The Cape” is a one-hour drama series starring David Lyons (“ER”) as Vince Faraday, an honest cop on a corrupt police force, who finds himself framed for a series of murders and presumed dead. He is forced into hiding, leaving behind his wife Dana (Jennifer Ferrin, “Life on Mars”) and son, Trip (Ryan Wynott, “Flash Forward”). Fueled by a desire to reunite with his family and to battle the criminal forces that have overtaken Palm City, Vince Faraday becomes “The Cape” – his son’s favorite comic book superhero – and takes the law into his own hands.

Hey, what’s the deal with Matthew and Jeepers Creepers? And Rodrigo is quite right, The Cape is precisely as he described it; a really enjoyable show!
really? Enjoyable? wow… it was hardly watchable… it made An Ordinary Family look like Mad Men. I’ve been known to carry a crappy show longer than most but that got dropped from my rotation after the third episode. Giving the show 3 1/2 stars really makes me rethink the ratings on this site.
It probably boils down to viewer’s expectations. It’s cheesy, but it has a solid world-building and the whole thing is – I think – deliberately over the top. A nice throwback to the simpler times, if nothing else, and it never fails to help me wind down!

I can’t imagine why. We make no bones that all our reviews (and, by definition ALL REVIEWS EVERYWHERE) are subjective. “Your mileage may vary,” after all. Recall that Rodrigo and I had a quick discussion about my non-enjoyment of the bits of the show I’d seen. Rodrigo’s opinion is Rodrigo’s opinion, and we never promised anything else.
Appreciate the feedback, though…
“Hey, what’s the deal with Matthew and Jeepers Creepers?”
Matthew is a cowardly and superstitious lot…
Dude, while we all know that Matthew is “gravitationanly enhanced” calling a single person “lot” is just mean ;-)
