This November, artist Dustin Nguyen will be taking over the art duties of DC’s Batgirl series, where he will join writer Bryan Q. Miller as the two spin tales of Stephanie Brown.
“This is definitely going to be an exciting venture for me, besides the outline Bryan has for us, i’m just plain excited to be drawing Batgirl,” Nguyen said. “This latest incarnation of her has lots of the aesthetics of the original Babs that i love and some new ones. It’ll take me some getting used to drawing a female in horns, but i’m looking forward to putting away the “mean and moody” for a while and kick in the ‘fun and sexy.’”
Sound awesome to me, though I wonder what will happen with Paul Dini’s Streets of Gotham series.

Good news for the Batgirl series.. Though I’m afraid it will impact the tone of the book a bit to much.
Oh and Stephen, nice title.
Kudos on the article title as well.
This is good news, Dustin’s artwork looks great!
Nguyen really does justice to the costume. Probably the best rendition of it yet! I’d love to have a full Bat-family poster drawn by this man.
I can’t say that I’m a fan of the costume or even of Stephanie Brown BUT where Nguyen goes, I follow.
i’m just not a nguyen fan. don’t get what’s so great about him. the bad news (for me) on this is that igle is going to birds of prey due to an illness of benes. i love benes, and hope he’s ok. nguyen is an upgrade on batgirl from igle, though. would be much cooler if he was the same dustin nguyen from 21 jump street. that guy had anime hair…
Dustin does great covers and money shots. We’ll have to see how well his style adapts to interior pencils.
