Some of you may have noticed the site going wonky here and there at odd times. I’m futzing around with the site layout trying to integrate the new Featured Content section into the Header, but am having mixed results. Please bear with us during this time.
As far as the Featured Content feature, it’s there to help you get access to our big stories a lot easier. We often have so many stories hitting the site (not today obviously) that reviews, interviews, and features are getting buried. I’ve tested the plug-in on the current version of Firefox, Safari, and IE7 on the Mac and PC, and except for a minor Menu bug in IE7, the site is currently working as expected.
If you see anything strange, broken, or not working properly, please send me an e-mail and we’ll get our team of faux experts working on it right away.

But isn’t every story a big story?
Lol … i’m with ya …
I figured it was something with IE7 making my pages format weird. Work won’t upgrade!
As I post this, it looks to be alright. But I’ll check the site later and see if it gets all off kilter again.
The next change you should see is the Featured Content in the header, with everything else working perfectly. In IE7 I see one menu problem that I’m addressing now.
Could you set up a games section with maybe a Blok puzzle? Put him back together after Roxxas the Butcher blew him up perhaps?
I have IE 8 (I think) here at work and everything seems ok. And I have already used the Featured Content header… thing b/c there was a review that I wanted to read that had already got bumped to the next page. So, I am liking it! Keep up the great work.
I like the “FC” thing, but…. I dunno. It’s visually jarring, kinda. I think it’s the dimensions of it, but I can’t actually pin it down at the moment. If I _do_ make sense of my reaction, I’ll express it more clearly. :)
Aha!!! I just figured it out. On my display (I dunno if this is the case for everybody, hence the qualifying statement) the FC box does line up with the text below it, but not with the menubar above it. I think it’d make more better visual for it to be “docked” to the menubar, instead of justified with the stories & reviews. :) See? I knew there was something, I just hadda concentrate for a minute for to figger it out. :D
I’m trying to put it at the top of the page in the header.php document, but whenever I do, something in the call is causing the pages to only show the featured content and not the rest o the content. I really need a php person to figure this out for me.
The FC is cool but it not matching up and not centered with your banner ad throws me off a little. I’m using IE8 at work and when I mouse over Forum, the drop down menu is behind the lower menu bar. I continue to enjoy and love comics and the site.
I use IE8 and sometimes there are problems when opening a post in a new tab, like the menu at the top not showing up (the one with “home” and so on), or the FC showing at the top of it.
P.S.- Is it me or did you just disable it?
I just turned it off until I can get a trouble shooting problem solved from the plug-in makers. IF we can get it to work correctly it will return. If anyone cares, here is what the site will look like after the change
I hope this site BLOWS the frack up!! (I meen people wise)
You and me both.
Sweeeet!
I love the new featured section and the design for the top! Keep up the good work.
As far as the “predicted” layout goes, with the FC box up top? I dig it… i dig it mightily. :D
Hopefully I’ll get an answer soon – that or someone who knows PHP and scripting inside out to come to our rescue.
