The 411 on the Sinestro Corps

Stephen SchleicherBy Stephen SchleicherApril 23, 20097 Comments1 Min Read

Today’s Lantern entry features the Sinestro Corps. Look for the complete collection coming soon in the upcoming Blackest Night Free Comic Book Day book coming May 2, 2009.  Or if your comic book store is giving these away early (I’m looking at you comic book shop in Overland Park, KS), you already know what follows next.

    From a tipster:

Those info sheets of the various Lantern Corps, including Corps not yet posted on The Source, make up the back portion of the issue. The first half, by Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis, involve a conversation between Barry and Hal.

    Well there you go…

Apparently there is some interesting info in the back of the book that details the 24 issues related to Part One of the Blackest Night saga.

if you manage to get the free comic book day edition of Blackest Night, these “411” are all printed at the end of the book. haven’t read the book yet.

Wrong symbol for the Sinestro Corps.

But now Arkillo doesn’t have a tongue. :-(

I notice that Mongul is prominently missing as well.

The symbol is wrong Karu-sil and Kryb are under rehab with the Sapphires, Bedovian has been missing since 2007 (lol)

And didn’t they have little armbands before?

Still, Arkillo’s mouth is shut, so there’s no telling whether or not he has a tongue. With Sinestro out and running free, anything can happen.

And while the corner symbol is wrong, all the symbols are just silly little doodles that vaguely look like a lantern, so you can’t blame the production people for slipping up (especially since the ones on the character’s chests seem to be the correct yaller lantrin image.

Am I the only one that thinks that Tri-Eye and Maash came out of the same brainstorming / doodling session?

“… look it’s Marvel’s Bi-Beast, but with an extra head! Tri-Beast! Ooh, what if instead of connecting chin-to-forehead, they connected forehead-to-forehead. Heh, this guy looks dumb …”
