Yup, we’re trying to make sure your Friday Sing-a-Longs return as a regular feature. This week we’re continuing the Batman song, with this original piece by Rockin Jamboree.
This is a song I wrote a around 1992. It pre-dates Heath Ledger’s “Dark Knight” by many years. I was hosting a show at Stevie Ray’s Comedy Club in Minneapolis. As part of the show, I had a bit where I took suggestions for song titles from the audience, promising to write a song with that title for the next weeks show. An audience member suggested “Batman’s Song” and I wrote this.

Thanks for featuring “Batman’s Song” on your web site. I’m very flattered. I found your site almost by accident. I noticed that more people than usual had watched my song yesterday. I thought, “I must have been featured some place cool!” So I did a bit of searching and, sure enough, I was right!
I’m currently taking part in a songwriting contest called, “Masters of Song Fu!” It’s like an Iron Chef of songwriting, where Challengers take on Song Masters! The current competition features Master Neil Innes of The Bonzo Dog Band, Monty Python and The Rutles! There are many other cool Masters and Chalengers, so check it out!
