If you thought guest appearances by President Barack Obama in comics were done, guess again. Image Comics is getting into the act again as the President makes his first superhero-related initiative in Youngblood #8, written and illustrated by Rob Liefeld.
“Obama re-instating the YOUNGBLOOD program with his picks is a natural, with SAVAGE DRAGON having featured Obama already,” Liefeld told Comic Book Resources. “And with YOUNGBLOOD having featured George H. Bush in its past as well as a Saddam Hussein styled guy and YOUNGBLOOD featured alongside Dan Quayle in WILDC.A.Ts and Bill Clinton in SUPREME, Image has a long history of involving presidential figures!”
The six-page back up story has President Obama selecting the next line-up of Youngblood.
Will we see lines around the block when this issue arrives in February?

Since it’s Liefield, shouldn’t Obama have a cybernetic arm, glowing eyes, and a body that’s out of proportion with tiny ankles?
does he endorse these things or do they just use his image like they want??
I think once you’re a president you become fair game and they can use in whatever they want
I’m working on my “Obama sings the hits of the band Journey” prose right now.
Liefeld is still publishing Youngblood? Sheesh!
Wouldn’t it be great if someone at Image or Marvel could actually fucking draw Obama instead of generic-black guy #1?

I’m with Ok. The man does have a face that isn’t generic “skinny Black Dude” in appearance. They could bother themselves with taking a good hard look at him once or twice before grabbing the pencil. It wouldn’t be that hard. Well, for everyone but Liefield, at least.
And where are the flares of gray that are here one day and gone the next with Obama they should have the gray going in and out with each panel.
BWAH HA HA! Oh Rob when will you give up trying to draw?! If you weren’t so truly sad and pathetic, it wouldn’t be so damn funny!!!!
Will Smith is joining Youngblood?
