REVIEW: Avenging Spider-Man #19

It’s kind of funny…Ock-Spidey has, for me anyways, been more appealing in books where the character teams with the rest of the Marvel U. than in his own title. Cross this opinion with the return of one of Marvel’s cult-hit-heroes and you have a book that could very well reek of awesomeness or put you to sleep. Check out the Major Spoilers review of Avenging Spider-Man #19…

REVIEW: Avenging Spider-Man Annual #1

In today’s work-a-day world, it can be all to easy to forget that Spider-Man is more than just a crime fighter. He’s more than just a weirdo swinging through New York in his PJ’s. More than just a threat or just a menace. Down deep, Spider-Man is a funny guy, and that fact is best seen when he interacts with other heroes. REVIEW: Avenging Spider-Man #13

Or – “Deadpooool!”

There is an old saying:  There are no bad characters, only bad writing.  ANY character could conceivably be the next big thing, as this issue’s Rob Liefeld created Deathstroke-clone superstar can attest.  But will the return of the Hypno-Hustler tear the roof of the motha$&@#a, or is it just a tragedy, with the feeling gone so you can’t go on?  Your Major Spoilers review awaits!

VARIANT COVER: J. Scott Campbell covers Avenging Spider-Man too

While the Humberto Ramos variant for the upcoming Avenging Spider-Man #1 is all kinds of cool, Marvel is betting you will also want to check out J. Scott Campbell’s variant featuring Spider-Man and Captain America.

VARIANT COVER: Humberto Ramos covers Avenging Spider-Man #1

Humberto Ramos does an amazing job on The Amazing Spider-Man series, and though I would love to see his art all over the Spider-Man books, I’ll settle for a variant cover for the upcoming Avenging Spider-Man #1 issue from Marvel.

Marvel has announced a brand new ongoing series featuring everyone’s favorite wallcrawler, Spider-Man, called…wait for it… Avenging Spider-Man.  The first issue arrives in November with Zeb Wells and Joe Madureira.

“With Dan Slott nailing all the Peter Parker soap opera stuff in Amazing Spider-Man, we wanted to a book about Spider-Man as a super hero, out there in the Marvel Universe with the Avengers. This is the big super action movie of Spider-Man every month, with Joe Mad on art,” said Wells.

According to Marvel, the first arc will see Spider-Man teaming up with Red Hulk to take on The Mole Man… and something else…
