[Movies] The first Alien: Covenant trailer has arrived

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for Alien: Covenant, from director Ridley Scott.

Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

In Theaters – May 19, 2017

Cast: Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, Benjamin Rigby

Directed by: Ridley Scott

I’m not sure about this one. It feels like the cut scenes from every other Alien movie we’ve ever seen.

Do you get that same vibe, or is it just me?

Guess I’m behind. I thought someone else was directing and he was doing Prometheus 2. Guess someone convinced him that no one liked that movie.

it looks okay. I’m more curious about that thing that slipped into the guy’s ear than the Xenomorph.

Not too compelling. Looks a lot like a generic slasher or James Cameron flick. The requisite guy in a cowboy hat tells me that characterization will come from the costumes. Hoping the next trailer is more interesting.
