WizKids is certainly trying a lot of different things with its Dice Masters line. Last week, we received our Green Arrow/Flash gravity feed, and in May we’ll be able to get our hands on a new Starter Set featuring Wonder Woman and Superman.
Recently, WizKids announced a new line of annual starter sets that are not linked to larger releases (gravity feeds, playmats, storage boxes, etc.), which makes since if you have already saturated the market. We see similar tactics going on with HeroClix, and because many of us who play Dice Masters are starting to feel the pinch of monthly or bi-monthly releases of sets, this approach to selling works for me.
The Superman and Wonder Woman Starter Set will feature the title characters as well as other Kryptonians and Amazons, with “new spins on 8 DC heroes.” The starter set will have a $19.99 price tag.
Then, in February, WizKids releases the DC Comics Dice Masters: Batman Gravity Feed.
