If Fear Itself isn’t going to be enough for you, Marvel has announced Fear Itself: The Worth, an eight-part series of weekly digital exclusives.
“We want as many fans as possible to get a taste of this year’s biggest comics event,” explains David Gabriel, Marvel’s Senior Vice President of Sales. “By making these stories available for free digitally, we’re reaching a world wide fan base and making it possible for everyone to get a taste of the scope and excitement of Fear Itself!”
Fear Itself: The Worthy! kicks off April 27, 2011, and will be available for a limited time via the Marvel App, Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, and Marvel Comics on Chrome.

Why am I so totally underwhelmed by this? It should be interesting to me, but it’s just not. Kinda like the Green Lantern glowing animal thingies.

I’m underwhelmed that this whole fear thing is some dumb asgardian fear god instead of Phobos the god of fear who was given a great set-up for revenge way back in secret invasion, or some other big cross over I vaguely remember.
Last I saw him he was all mad becuase of something Fury was doing with Ares or something. Anyway, it would make for a way cooler villain. It seems to me that this was a foreshadowing that was scrapped, and swapped with this new idea so they could introduce the Tron-hammer Corps.
I’ll be taking a pass on this whole thing.
So, Marvel is now illustrating the Monster Manual books for D&D?
