Quite some time ago I told you the news of Kids’ WB! shutting its doors at the end of the season, handing all the programming duties to 4Kids Entertainment. At the time, it was unclear what would happen with Legion of Super Heroes, but now we have the answer – the show is ending. Legion of Super Heroes is currently wrapping up its second season, which will also be last season for the show. With the series no longer in production, fans can expect four more new episodes before the series comes to a close. Two new episodes will be…

Since that YouTube link we posted a while back no longer working, Warner Bros. was kind enough to provide a higher resolution version for us to use, which coincidentally also happens to be a YouTube video. The video was made available as part of the official launch of the Batman: Gotham Knight website.via Warner Bros.
The New York Times has an article covering The Dark Knight movie, and has four new photos to boot. In a political context this would politely be called an “unintended consequence.†(Gotham as Baghdad, anyone?) Mr. Nolan doesn’t deny the overtones. “As we looked through the comics, there was this fascinating idea that Batman’s presence in Gotham actually attracts criminals to Gotham, attracts lunacy,†he said. “When you’re dealing with questionable notions like people taking the law into their own hands, you have to really ask, where does that lead? That’s what makes the character so dark, because he expresses…
I got a phone call this weekend from none other than Harvey Dent, asking me – ME to help him with his campaign to get elected as the district attorney of Gotham City. Of course there’s a catch. You have to head over to I Believe in Harvey Dent and download a bunch of signs and posters that you print out and decorate your office, room, neighborhood. Following all that fun, take pictures or videos of your Harvey Dent Campaign exploits and you could be a star in Warner Bros. new viral campaign for the upcoming Batman flick. via I…
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to produce a Bone movie based on Jeff Smith’s indie title. Smith will executive produce the movie, but the big question is what format the flick will take. An animated version was in development at Nickelodeon Films but fell through, partly because Smith was displeased that the studio was aiming it for kids and wanted the film to include pop songs. I say get PIXAR to do it, make it a stunning 3D movie and make millions. The big drawback is PIXAR is owned by Disney/Apple and Warner…
The official Watchmen site has been updated to include some of the central characters in their official costumes. I know many people are going to be jumping up and down crying foul when they see the likes of Nite Owl and Silk Spectre, but keep this in mind – these a more than likely promotional posters (sans text) that have been highly stylized going for the Bleach Bypass look. That being said, I think Nite Owl looks a little too lean, and Ozymandias is missing his great purple outfit. Zack Snyder has said he is going to be faithful to…
Michael Ausiello over at TV Guide has some info on the next season of Smallville, and guess what? Two regular cast members are not returning. Say it isn’t so! Take the jump to find out who.
No, I’m not talking about that shipwreck on the LOST island, but rather the comic book story that unfolded in the pages of Alan Moore’s Watchmen. With the movie adaptation coming to theaters, many have wondered what would happen to the tale of the Black Freighter.  While the adventure won’t appear in the theatrical release, rumor has been spreading that the story would appear on the DVD. Empire Online seems to back up that rumor in an interview with 300 action star Gerard Butler. “I’m going to do the voice of the captain,†said Butler. “They’re going to do it…

The writer’s strike may be over, but the effects are still be felt through the industry. While Warner Bros. is pushing ahead with the Justice League movie, other features could be delayed as the industry scrambles to regroup following the settlement, and await the next big walk out. The next walk out? The Screen Actor’s Guild is next up to the table to negotiate contracts, and even the slightest hint of a strike is causing the studios to hold off on any new productions that can’t wrap shooting by June 30. “Transformers 2” director Michael Bay said the labor cloud…
Remember comic deaths are never long lasting. Variety is reporting the Justice League movie is back on, with Warner Bros. targeting a 2009 release date. The script is being polished while George Miller continues preproduction in Australia. Adam Brody, cast as the Flash, is the biggest star in the superhero lineup. Rapper Common nabbed the Green Lantern role; other roles went to lesser-known thesps such as Armie Hammer Jr. (Batman) and Megan Gale (Wonder Woman). If Miller can make a hit out of Justice League O.C. I’ll be very surprised, especially since the film is now going to be rushed…
Rumor floating around the Interwebs is that may be the title of the upcoming Shazam movie, which may or may not feature The Rock as Black Adam. I really don’t hate that title, in fact I liken it to such great movie titles like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, and Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark. On second thought, I hate the retcon retitle of Raiders – but then again I’m not rich like Lucas and Spielberg, so I’m stuck with it. Still, Billy Batson and the Legend of…
