Some of you may have heard of a little movie called Star Wars that came out in 1977. Topps is getting into the act to celebrate the 30th anniversary, and asked Josh Howard to help out. I was recently invited to contribute 200 sketch cards to the upcoming Star Wars 30th Anniversary card set from Topps. As I suspected when I first commented about the Silver Surfer coin contest, altering the coins is in fact illegal. The U.S. Mint said in a news release Friday that it learned of the promotional quarter this week and advised the studio and The Franklin Mint they were breaking the law.
