Robot Wars Returns!  This time we place lovable robot sidekicks in the ring to see who kicks ass, and who gets a big “awwww…wook how cute dat widdle wobot is” from the audience.  From the most famous space opera of all time, comes the astrodroid R2D2, and from the Clash of the Titans comes the mechanical owl Bubo! Once again, it’s all about Matthew.  This week were pitting Matthew’s two favorite comic book characters of all time against one another in an arena of death.  On the Marvel side we have Mimic, once a member of the X-Men, he has the ability to copy peoples skills at will.  On the DC side we present Blok, the stoic stone hero from the Legion of Super-Heroes. This week, we return to the battle between the characters from Alan Moore’s Watchmen series, and the original characters that inspired them.  This week, it’s the battle of the ladies, as Silk Spectre wrestles with… well, there is no direct Charlton character that inspired Silk Spectre, but Alan Moore did say she is a cross between Phantom Lady and Black Canary.  So, let’s go with Phantom Lady. Since the New York Comic Con is taking place this weekend, and since NYC is the supposed center of the universe, why not kick off these EIC Cage Match Battles with the head honchos from DC and Marvel. It’s a theme we just can’t stop talking about at Major Spoilers; which robot would win when pitted against another robot foe.  This week we take two cuties and put them in the Robot Arena of Death to see who will live and who will join the junk heap.  In one corner, the cute and loveable Twiki from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century television series, while in the other corner, is that cute, loveable robot from Disney’s Wall-E.
