Walt Disney Studios has announced that Downton Abbey’s Lily James has been cast as Cinderella in the studios upcoming live-action adaptation of the fairy tale. Cate Blanchett has been cast as the wicked step-mother, with Sir Kenneth Branagh directing. Generally when a studio screens footage at conventions those who aren’t in attendance have to wait until it possibly leaks onto the Internet and then hope the studio doesn’t remove it before there is a chance to watch.
