With the excitement building over Stephen King’s Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born, Marvel has announced the first issue will be packed with extras and supplemental material. In addition to the graphic telling of the story, a short story written by Robin Furth will be included along with a map of New Canaan, and no advertising. The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born #1 will be 48 pages and sell for $3.99.

Today Minimate Multiverse posted two new characters from series 16 of the Art Asylum/Marvel minimate line. Joining the other Avengers will be She-Hulk and Wonderman. She-Hulk fans should be happy as they can create cheesecake pinup cover spoofs of their own. Art Asylum and Diamond Select Toys have announced additional figures for the 16th series of the Marvel Minimates line. First announced was Thor, and today Art Asylum is letting everyone know there is a variant to the Norse god in the form of Bearded Thor. Ain’t It Cool News is reporting this morning that Gwyneth Paltrow has been cast in the role of Pepper Potts in the upcoming Iron Man moving staring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Terrance Howard as Jim Rhodes. I’m not a huge Paltrow fan, but Jon Favreau seems to know what he is doing, and with the cast shaping up well, this could be bigger than anything X-Men pulled off.
