As we get closer to the weekend (and a lot of free reading time) Marvel has provided Major Spoilers with a sneak peek of the upcoming Sensational Spider-Man Annual #1. The issue is much larger than normal, coming in at 48 pages, but the price is increased by a dollar. According to Marvel, every issue that ties-in to the Back In Black storyline have sold out at Diamond.

IGN has posted an image of the Iron Man suit – Mark I. Yeah, I’m liking this look A LOT! If this attention to detail and history is an indication of what we can expect from the rest of the Iron Man movie, then I’m hooked, Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Bridges, and all. Marvel dropped off a sneak peek of Marvel Zombies vs. Army of Darkness #3 and also let us know issue #2 has completely sold out at Diamond. Issue #2 had a surprise ending, which makes me wonder how it will be dealt with in issue #3. The sneak peek gives some clues, but not the final answer.
The Fantastic Four have been around for more than 40 years, and in May, Marvel will be giving the first family the Marvel Spotlight treatment in Marvel Spotlight: Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer. Some of the biggest creators in their history help out with a behind the scenes look at the past, plus a look into the future of the New Fantastic Four. Marvel Comics has announced Omega Flight #1 has sold out at Diamond and will go back to print with a variant cover by Scott Kolins. In the wake of Civil War, Canada has put together its own super-team called Omega Flight, the last line of defense for the Great White North against super villain insurgents from abroad. Unfortunately for the Canadians, before Omega Flight can band together, a powerful team of villains have decided to turn their northern neighbor into a playground for plundering. The new printing will be available May 9, 2007 for $2.99. via Marvel Comics
If you missed out on any part of Marvel’s Civil War series – and there is a good chance you did since many of the title issues and tie-ins sold out – Marvel has announced the Trade Paperback of the series is set to debut this week. Fans will also be able to experience Civil War in a brand new way with each issue of Civil War Chronicles, which presents every issue of the Civil War event in chronological order, allowing readers to see the nuances of this epic tale in the order they occured. Even better than a panel referencing a video game system from the 80s is dialogue from the same time. This week features Misty Knight kicking some shark butt. The only thing missing is some 70s Blaxspoitation phrase. Each time I see this panel, I keep wanting her to say “Shazam!” as she punches the Great White square on.
A new poster for the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer has started to appear online. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer hits theaters on June 15.
Ms. Marvel #13 and #14 have both sold out at Diamond, according to Marvel Comics. Tying into The Initiative, Mighty Avengers, Omega Flight and Civil War, MS. MARVEL is quickly becoming the place to go for stories that tie into the “big picture” of the Marvel U! Issue #13 featured the debut of Aaron Lopresti as the new regular artist, as he joined writer Brian Reed and cover artist Greg Horn. Or – “Turner Can Barely Draw Humans, Who Thought He Could Draw Ben Grimm?” There have been a lot of interpretations of the Thing over the years, from Jack Kirby’s original lumpy monster, which then rocked up, and then Joe Sinnott drew the “separate eyebrow” Thing, and then John Byrne rounded him off and gave him a gorilla’s body. There’s a lot of precedent for making slight changes to the Thing. There is NO excuse, however, for drawing him with a separate steam-shovel jaw ala Robotman of the Doom Patrol, especially when the interior art isn’t going to represent it.…
