Professional Geek is one of those job titles that anyone at Major Spoilers would love to have, but being a business professional often means wearing suits and carrying around business cards. While there are not any Batman or Captain America business suits (that I know of), those that must be a bit more professional can still get geek cred with the Spock business card holder. Thirteen bucks is a small price to pay to show one’s love for the original series. Oh, and if you do know of a Batman or Captain America business suit, would you mind letting me…

Patrick Swayze may be gone, but this Mystery Science Theater 3000 bit will stick around forever.
The Stikfas line of action figures were pretty popular a few years ago, as you could build and trick out your action figures and have them battle each other, or take on those 3 and 3/4-inch action figures with your army of automatons. This Omega Male Superhero comes with 2 Omega Male body-part sprues in different colors (orange and white), making it possible to build 2 figures from 1 kit. With 14 super-poseable points of ball-joint articulation, 49 interchangeable parts and accessories, Ziploc bag, STIKer sheet, and instruction card, you’ll have tons of fun with this guy! Stands 3-inches tall.…
With the return of the multiverse, someone is going to have to go about exploring those that DC has not named. Enter the Alternative Earth Exploratory Team tee-shirt that let’s everyone know you’re on the job. via Secret Identity
We’re in the homestretch in the Major Spoilers 28 Days of Geek Giving guide for 2009. The big day is quickly approaching, and there’s still plenty of time to find that something awesome for the geek in your life. Today’s installment we have a fairly inexpensive life-sized model of Thor’s Hammer. While other replicas will set you back several hundred dollars, this officially licensed plastic hammer will only set you back a Jackson (plus shipping). If you have someone that love’s to cosplay and needs a cool looking hammer when they dress up as the Norse god, then this is…
If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the last four years of running Major Spoilers it is this; fans like their comic books, but they seem to like merchandise even more. And while the comic book lover in your life may not need a life sized prop replica of Magneto’s helmet, chances are if they are a fan of Marvel and the X-Men, they’ll be more than happy to display a life sized prop replica of Magneto’s helmet on their shelf, desk, or they might even wear it down the street to pick up the ladies. The helmet is from…
Who says comic book geeks have to be in the 30s? If you have a little tyke you’re trying to convert to the dark side, one sure fire way to get him (or her) to pick up and play with those DC Super Friends again, is to give them the latest addition to the line – Hawkman. This 6″ scale, chunky figure is fully-articulated (including articulated wings) and arrives ready for battle in his new brown war deco and Hawk Jet. Yes, it is certainly cool, but Mattel doesn’t say if Hawkman comes with his own Nth Metal mace for…
If you don’t already have holiday tree decorated in geek-dom, next year will be the year to remember with the video game console ornaments from Etsy. Everything from Xbox 360, Playstation, and the Wiimote are available, and if you are old school, you can also pick up N64, NES, and Genesis controller ornaments. They come in white or red, but sadly the $25.00 collection is currently sold out. That’s okay, because you won’t want to put them on the tree this year – 2010 will be the year to show off your gaming tree. The December 30th comic releases may arrive at your comic shop, and it may not depending on how your shop owner has things scheduled for the holidays. For those participating in the Marvel program, the company has announced it’s bring the new year in early with a bunch of free stuff, including calendars, comics and more. With end of the year being a crazy time, and holidays totally screwing with shipping, this event from Marvel might end up being a way for store owners to bring in those extra bucks.
Who doesn’t like Terence Stamp as General Zod from Superman II? For those who can’t get enough Zod action, Matty Collector has a 12-inch articulated figure that can interact with the other 12-inch DC figures from the company. General Zod has a cloth replica uniform, 2 “crude noisemaker” weapons, extra hands, and a stand for the geek in your life to proudly display his action figure. via Matty Collector
If you’ve waited this long, chances are any gift you order now won’t make it to your door by the big day, so you might as well give the geek in your life something to look forward to in the new year. Sideshow Collectibles has announced the latest turtle in its Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Comiquette line will be Donatello, and for the big fan, this is one fine looking statue.
Metropolis Comics sent us a quick e-mail alerting us to its holiday party taking place at the store this week. Sounds like a lot of fun for comic fans!
Marvel has announced that Stan Lee is making his Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited debut with a special Fantastic Four tale. The Thing teaches the rest of Marvel’s First Family all about Chanukah, and in turn, they impart some lessons of their own on some would-be street toughs. All this plus an art cameo by Lee’s FF co-creator Jack Kirby in a one-of-a-kind story that should not be missed! This is a four-part story that is available now at the Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited site, with new installments arriving weekly. via Marvel
What started out as an April Fool’s joke a few years ago, turned into an actual product, and is perfect for Star Wars fans. The Tauntaun sleeping bag is a bit friendlier looking than the ones that appeared in the movie, and while sleeping bags should look cool on the outside, the inside is really nice, as it features an intestine pattern. Best of all, there’s a lightsaber zipper to open and close the sleeping bag. All the info, and a video, after the jump!
