I know people who have watched the Watchmen trailer over 100 times since it was released last week. I’ve also seen people bicker back and forth over the shots seen, and how close of an adaptation Zack Snyder will bring to the big screen. Today is a day to celebrate – Major Spoilers turns two years old! The last year has been a roller coaster of a ride with the addition of a little Major Spoilers-ite joining the family, legal wrangling with some poo-poo heads, the temporary hiatus of the site, and the huge return with more reviews, news, and a brand new podcast.
It’s been one hell of a year, and I have you to thank for it.

It has been a real struggle to write the reviews for Final Crisis. Every time I pick up the book, I get angry over what I am reading, but then after a while, my blood stops boiling and I give it a second, third, and more often than not, a fourth and fifth reading to come to some kind of understanding with what Morrison is trying to accomplish. I see and respect what he is doing, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.
Oh boy! Another weekly series from DC! While that exclamation may send shivers up and down the spines of those who struggled through Countdown (to Final Crisis), I have higher hopes for Trinity. Busiek has proven he can tell brilliant super hero stories, and Bagley’s art is always top notch, but does the second issue hold up to the first?

LeBar, best known for his role as agent Ari Gold’s arch rival Josh Weinstein on HBO’s “Entourage,” has lived the life of both a prep jock and an aspiring super hero … so taking on Flash Thompson’s persona wasn’t much of a reach.
I dig the Robin title. I’ve liked the character of Tim Drake Wayne since he was first introduced way back in August of 1989 (Batman #436). I liked what happened with the Robin character following One Year Later (for better or worse). I’ve liked what I’ve seen with Robin trying to get his love life in order and really coming into his own as a powerful character. But I have to say, the last several issues playing up the “Who is Spoiler?†story line left me pretty flat.

It’s a hidden, backwater world of swords and sorcery, the kind of place that Red Sonja or Claw the Unconquered wouldn’t feel at all out of place, and it’s favorite daughter has a tendency to dress in a manner that would befit Sonja as well.
